We’ll identify and track your top 10 local competitors in your primary business category as well as your top 10 competitors for 5 custom search phrases. This helps us see how you rank against your competitors and spot areas where we can boost your local SEO. By understanding your competition, we can focus on the strategies that will help you stand out and grow your online reputation each month.

You’ll have access to an easy to use report each month that monitors your local search performance and various signals that impact your rankings on Google and other search engines. This includes:

These reports allow you to more easily understand the work we’re doing each month and how it is impacting your local search rankings over time.

We’ll monitor your business and your top competitors so that we can report to Google* any policy violations that competitors are using to gain an unfair advantage in local search rankings. Common violations include:

*We will make our best effort to combat any unfair advantages used by your competitors in violation of Google’s policies and report each instance to Google; we cannot guarantee that Google will take action to suspend or update your competitors’ profiles.

A major factor that impacts your local search rankings is how close the person searching is to your business location.  Local Search Grid tracking is an advanced tool that allows us to drill down to precise locations within the cities you serve to learn how your business is ranking against your competitors. This data allows us to better customize the Local SEO Work that we do on your website and building your online presence. These reports also help you track the impact of Local SEO work over time.

Each month, we’ll allocate a block of time to custom Local SEO work so that you gradually improve your rankings each month. The tasks that we complete fall into 1 of 2 primary categories; On-Site SEO & Off-Site SEO.

Based on your current rankings and your local competitors, we’ll identify which tasks will benefit your business most. You’ll have access to an ongoing log summarizing the tasks that we complete each month so that you never have to wonder if you are getting what you pay for.

On-Site SEO

On-site SEO works to enhance the quality of your website messaging and the experience people have while navigating your website to learn about your business.

Keyword Analysis and Website Optimization: We analyze how your website is performing for popular search phrases using rank tracking reports, Local Search Grid tracking, Google Business Profile (GBP) search queries, and keyword research tools. Then, we fine-tune your content to target the most relevant keywords, helping you gradually and consistently get more customers from Google.

Advanced On-Page SEO: We add special code (schema markup) to your website that helps Google better understand your business. This can make your business stand out more in search results.

User Experience Optimization: We use analytics and conversion tracking to see how visitors interact with your website. Then, we improve your site to make it easier and more enjoyable for potential customers to use, which can help your site rank higher on Google.

New Content Creation and Updates: We write and add new content or update existing content on your current pages, such as blog posts, articles, or service descriptions. We can also embed videos to make your content more engaging. This keeps your site fresh and informative without the need to create or design new pages.

Off-Site SEO

Off-Page SEO focuses on increasing your business’s visibility and credibility across the web. By managing your online presence beyond your website, we help build trust and authority, making it easier for potential customers to find and choose your business. This also helps search engines like Google view your business as more credible, which helps improve your search rankings against your competitors.

Building Online Business Listings: We use Citation Tracker reports and Competitor Analysis to identify new places to list your website online. We create and manage listings on local, national, or industry-specific directories where your competitors are listed, improving your online presence and visibility.

Managing and Updating Listings: We actively manage your business listings by regularly posting updates, adding new projects, and uploading photos. Keeping these profiles up to date ensures they stay fresh and engaging for both search engines and potential customers.

Link Building and Mentions: We work to get your business mentioned on reputable websites, using tools like Help a Reporter, Featured.com, Qwoted, and Connectively. These tools help us secure high-quality mentions and backlinks, which build your domain authority and improve your search rankings.

The Local SEO Audit report is a monthly report to assess how you’re doing in (7) categories which have a significant impact on your overall search rankings. This report is designed to help local business owners easily understand your online presence and how well you are doing compared to your competitors.

The Local SEO Audit makes it easy to identify potential problems so that can follow-up with us, ask questions, and ensure we’re adding value to your marketing.

Using video clips that you send to us, we create (4) 10-30 second videos optimized to post on Google and your social media profiles.

We take the content we create for your Google Business Profile and repurpose it for posting on the social media accounts that best fit your business. That means we resize your images or videos and optimize the written part of the post to fit the social media platform’s guidelines.

Google now allows you to integrate your social media accounts with your Google Business Profile to help engage potential customers and stand out from your competitors. These weekly posts support your overall Local SEO strategy by showing Google your business is active. Plus, potential customers often check your social media to gauge your business’s legitimacy. This service focuses on boosting your online presence and branding.

Includes FREE profile setup and/or optimization for the social media accounts, and between 4 – 8 posts on each account, each month. The number of posts we make depends on how many new images and video clips you send to us for the month. It also includes responding to up to (2) comments per post.

The purpose of this service is not to generate leads on social media but to give you a strong presence on social media. If you want to build a social media account for lead generation, that would be an additional add-on service.

Each month, we send you a short 5-10 minute video where we walk you through your monthly results and help you understand how the work we’re doing is helping you grow online. Your video debrief report will review:

We will manage and produce content for your blog by researching SEO keywords, analyzing competitors, and creating content clusters to improve visibility and drive traffic. Each article is approximately 500 – 750 characters, or enough characters to satisfy the topic sufficiently.

Our service includes writing and publishing optimized blog posts, ensuring consistent, high-quality content that resonates with your audience.

We focus on building a strong content strategy to help boost search rankings and grow your online presence. This helps your long-term with SEO and overall branding.

Google Business Profile FAQs

Why do I need a Google Business Profile?

A Google Business Profile helps your business appear in local search results and on Google Maps. It makes it easier for potential customers to find you, read reviews, and contact you. Your Google Business Profile is what shows up in the local 3-pack. These are the top 3 local businesses that show up at the top of the Google search results page after someone searches for your business category or the services that you offer.

Brand New Profiles

If we’re creating you a brand new Google Business Profile, it usually starts showing up in search results within 72 hours after we verify your profile.

At first, your profile will only show up when someone searches for your business name. It takes some time before your profile will show up when people are searching for the services you offer.

When someone runs a search, Google wants to return the most relevant businesses that are qualified, reputable and trustworthy. Once your profile is optimized, gradually growing your reviews, adding photos of your work, and managing your profile all help to earn trust from Google.

Usually, you need at least 10 reviews on your profile before you start showing up when people are searching for businesses like yours. After you get to 10 reviews, you will start showing up in search results. How high you rank depends on your local market, your competition, and your overall online presence.

Existing Profiles

If you have an existing Google Business Profile, after we optimize your listing your rankings improve within 30 days when people search for the services you offer. How high you rank depends on your competition, the age of your profile, the number of reviews you have, and your overall online presence.

Your business location vs. the location someone is searching from heavily impacts how high you rank. When someone runs a search in the vicinity closest to your business location, you’re more likely to show up. At first, your rankings will improve when people search from locations in your city.

As your online reputation improves with time, and we implement different SEO strategies, you’ll see your rankings improve farther away from your location.

You do need a street address to create your Google Business Profile. However, your street address does not have to be visible to the public.

If you only interact with customers at their location, Google considers you to be a service area business and your address will be hidden. Google will know generally where you are located, so that you can show up in search results when potential customers are searching near your business location.

In our experience, it is helpful to have a street address on your profile. Google has very specific rules about who can show a street address on your profile. Your Local Marketing Specialist will help you figure out if you qualify to show your address on your profile.

The more reviews that you have on your profile, the more credible your business will be – to both Google & potential customers. While there is no specific number of reviews that you need, in our experience there are a few important milestones that signficiantly hep you improve your rankings.

Milestone #1: 10 reviews

Milestone #2: 30 reviews

Milestone #3: 100 reviews

It’s also important that you are continuing to get more reviews each month, even after reaching these milestones.

Reviews are one of the most powerful ranking and trust-building factors for your Google Business Profile. Here’s why:

  • Google Uses Reviews to Understand Your Business – Google scans the written text of reviews to identify keywords related to your services. If your customers mention specific services (e.g., “roof repair,” “kitchen remodel,” or “emergency plumbing”), Google associates your profile with those services, increasing the chances of appearing in relevant search results.

  • Reviews Impact Rankings – The frequency of reviews, overall star rating, and total number of reviews all influence your placement in local search results. Businesses with a steady stream of positive reviews rank higher than those with outdated or few reviews.

  • Credibility & Customer Confidence – Before hiring you, especially for high-cost services like home remodeling or legal work, potential customers need to see proof that you consistently deliver great results. Reviews provide that social proof, making people more comfortable choosing your business over competitors.

  • Competitive Edge – If a customer is comparing businesses and sees yours with 100+ glowing reviews while a competitor has only a handful, they’re far more likely to trust and contact you first.

Consistently gathering and responding to reviews not only improves your visibility on Google but also builds the trust necessary to win more customers.

We recommend adding new photos to your profile once a week. At minimum, you should try to add high-quality photos of your finished projects at least once per month. If your business doesn’t have enough photos to add each month, we recommend adding new photos as often as possible.

It’s important that the photos you post to your Google Business Profile help Google and potential customers learn what it’s like to work with your business. The most important type of photos to share are of your finished work.

You don’t need professional photos, but your photos need to be high-quality with good lighting. Here are a few types of photos we recommend posting:

The more active your Google Business Profile is, the better. Ideally, you’ll update your profile each week with new photos & videos, an update post, and responses to new reviews. It’s also important that you keep your business details up to date and update your hours anytime your business is closed for holidays, vacations, or bad weather.

At minimum, you should update your profile once a month to show Google and potential customers that you’re active and engaging with your potential customers.
